SPICY ONION-TOMATO GRAVY/SABJI for CHAPATHI

Sabji is a simple and yummy dish. It goes well with CHAPATI and DOSA. A tasty gravy with just two major ingredients. Tomato & Onion mixture creates awesome tasty side dish.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Onion – 3
  2. Tomato – 4
  3. Red chili powder – 1/2 tbsp
  4. Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  5. Hing – 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt – 1 tsp
  7. Oil – 1 tbsp

PROCEDURE

  1. Heat oil in a kadai.
  2. Add the onions thinly and cook them till it turns light brown.
  3. Then add chopped tomatoes to it.
  4. Add salt to it.
  5. Add red chili powder to it.
  6. Add turmeric powder to it.
  7. Mix it well.

NOTE

1.Hing and turmeric powder are optional.
2.If interested we can add cumin seeds or mustard seeds & urad dal initially to the oil.
